A dynamic photo of an Indigenous person with facial paint, standing outdoors in a lush, green grassy field with trees in the background. The person is shirtless and wears an elaborate, large ceremonial headdress and matching skirt constructed entirely from dried, light-brown corn husks that fan out dramatically around the head and lower body. They wear a gold-colored pendant necklace and have their right hand raised near their forehead.

INDIGENOUS AMERICAS

A new chapter in Indigenous storytelling begins.

A new vision for Indigenous art, media, and cultural memory

Across the Americas, Indigenous artists, storytellers, and communities are shaping how our histories are told and what future generations will inherit, reawakening what it means to be American at a time when what we know to be true is under attack.

In November, Indigenous Americas will unveil plans to bring Indigenous art, media, and cultural knowledge together in ways that have never existed before, building lasting spaces for our peoples to create, share, and preserve our cultural memory.
